We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a busy and extremely successful organisation based in Northampton on a permanent basis. Office hours are 8.45am-4.30pm Monday - Friday, however part time hours will be considered. Working from home options could also be available for the right candidate.

The role:

  • Work as part of a team, processing payroll for 400+ companies
  • Prepare, set up and run the payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Ensure all employees time and attendance data is inputted onto the payroll system
  • Ensure accuracy of payment
  • Efficiently respond to payroll queries
  • Calculate holiday pay
  • Process of SSP
  • Processing of maternity/ paternity pay
  • Organise and prepare reports
  • Liaise and build effective relationships with clients



  • Previous payroll experience is essential
  • Experience using Sage Payroll is essential
  • Excellent and up to date knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Numerical with excellent attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure in a fast paced, busy environment
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Able to handle confidential information



  • Full Time and Part Time hours
  • 5 weeks + bank holidays
