We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a busy and extremely successful accountancy firm based in Northampton on a permanent basis. This in an office-based role, working 8.45am - 4.30pm Monday-Friday and offering up to £30K dependant on experience.

The role:
- Work as part of a team, processing payroll for 400+ companies
- Prepare and run the payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
- Ensure all employees time and attendance data is inputted onto the payroll system
- Ensure accuracy of payment
- Efficiently respond to payroll queries
- Calculate holiday pay
- Process of SSP
- Processing of maternity / paternity pay
- Organise and prepare reports
- Liaise and build effective relationships with clients
You:
- Previous payroll experience is essential
- Experience using Sage Payroll is essential
- Excellent and up to date knowledge of payroll legislation
- Able to handle queries regarding Maternity / Paternity, SSP
- Numerical with excellent attention to detail
- Works well under pressure in a fast paced, busy environment
- Confident user of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Able to handle confidential information
